- Reduces a wide range of contaminants, & their tests are on-going, BUT as of now, most of the contaminants are not tested for the entire 24,000 gallons, which is why the recommended life span of the filters is 1-2years, depending on the hardness of the water. To extend the life, every 2-3 months, scrub the filters with a green scrubber to get any build-up off the outside
