When I emailed to ask about their sourcing for stevia & natural flavors:
Stevia:
We use pure stevia leaf extract in all of our products. It’s the same across every flavor and is derived directly from the stevia leaf. The term “extract” refers to the process where the steviol glycosides, the naturally sweet compounds in the leaf, are extracted for use. It’s not a processed or artificial form, just the pure extract from the leaf.
Natural Flavors:
Our goal at Equip is to offer the cleanest products possible while maintaining excellent taste and full transparency about sourcing and testing. After thorough vetting, we decided to include natural flavors in some products to enhance flavor without compromising our real-food standards.
The natural flavors we use are derived from fruits, herbs, and spices with no synthetic ingredients. These are extracted through distillation, which captures essential oils and flavor compounds. Each blend may include multiple natural sources, and because our suppliers treat these blends as proprietary, they are listed as “natural flavor.”
We carefully vet every supplier and test all products to ensure purity and safety. While some companies may list more specific terms, we believe “natural flavor” is the most accurate and transparent description of what’s used.
