Pine Needles

Traditional use: Pine needles are antiviral and fabulous for fighting flus including corona viruses. They also are antibacterial and antifungal. The needles stimulate the immune system. Pine needles also are a good nutritive and help suppress a cough. They are a good source of vitamin C.

Pine needles are wild harvested. Herb Pocket workers harvest some plants in the wild. We do so ethically and legally. The plants are stored in paper sacks until they are brought home for processing.  When we harvest herbs it’s at the right time of day and at the right time of year for most potency. We wash (if necessary) and dry plants as quickly as possible using a fan. Plants dry in a dark room until they are placed in a paper sack or plastic bag for storage. Some plants are frozen at this point. If a tincture is being made from the dried plant, we aim to make it within 6 weeks of harvest. If a tincture is made from the fresh plant, it is made within 48 hours of harvest. All plants and plant medicine are kept in the dark as much as possible during and after processing. Wild crafted herbs are strong medicine. We pour our heart and soul into providing a top quality product because we expect the plants to be very good at supporting normal body function to help our families.

Something exceptional about Herb Pocket is that we try to be as transparent as possible as to what exactly you are purchasing.
